Going through my clothes to see if there is anything that qualifies as Casual Business..... for 22 years I have worked where jeans and a t-shirt did the job... I have 1 business outfit for customs/court and that's it.... guess who is getting their sewing machine out between now and wednesday next week.   :D

^^ Great! You make your own clothes. I wish I could.

Nothing too fancy... although I did do the kids communion and graduation (primary) dresses.

Right now... I am supposed to be doing tea but I am getting high on nailpolish fumes as I watch me kid do her toe nails (nailpolish is not allowed at school... or make up .... or hair not tied back)

No PE today then ? I love sewing, I have 2 machines and an over locker, I’m not great at it, but love crafting small things like bags and cushions. I’m thinking of teaching myself how to make clothes. I bought a couple of simple patterns to try. I am a Member of Craftsy online so have a few of their classes to work through.

First thing everyone here gets taught.... boxer shorts or PJ pants (which are scrubs pants)... the amount of scrubs sets I have done for mates over the years..... they are easy but you get a bit of technique... the first thing I taught the kid was a skirt... 2 seams and an elastic waist... then she did a maxi dress with a "smocked" eleastic bodice... She used purple gingham and just followed the lines of the checkes... to smock it you just put sheering elastic on your bobbin and sew straight lines about half an inch apart. You go low enough to cover the boobs and about 4-6 inches below (based on 5'5" height... the kid).... then sew the two side seams, hem the bottom and top (I usually hem the top before I do the sheering) and then add two shoulder straps, either set length or as ties..... super easy.

Sitting here digesting my dinner of veggies because while I was tidying the kitchen before serving myself and sitting down to eat the male who had already eaten his 4 snags took my 1 snag outta the pan and eat it... so just veggies for me.... ?

Currently chewing a hole in my lip worrying about my daughter's echocardiogram tomorrow...have to check on the patch on her ASD and mitral valve clip function. Dr. is concerned that her murmur is still so agressive (probably means her VSD hasn't closed as much as we hoped it would) if not that means another surgery?

@jillar @Whispers @Sazerac thank you for keeping us in your thoughts❤️

We're strong ladies over here, but, man, I was hoping it would close. Hopefully, it's small enough that it will just be the catheter to place the mesh. (That's how they did the ASD and the clip) she was doing good with the meds and therapy so we were waiting and watching the VSD because it was too large to send a mesh in but under control enough that she wasn't having heart failure anymore.

The thing I have to keep reminding myself is: this is it...No matter what happens; surgery, catheter, it will be the end of the surgeries...that weight will be gone from over our heads.

Pray for the best and plan for the worst is all I can do.

She has an amazing specialist who has already given her so much more freedom. She is in the best hands. She has an amazing, brilliant mumma who will be there to holder her close and she has a wonderful family who will support her regardless of what treatment option needs to be made. We are all sending out the best thoughts we can, please keep us posted. And take big breaths for you too.
