Very funny, would you believe we aren't even getting many people to even apply?

It's almost like no one really wants to work anymore.

We have a new line cook starting Thursday, what are the odds he lasts?

I had a new prep cook start 8 days ago and he called in sick on his 4th shift. Haven't heard anything from him since(work ethic)...WTF...lol.

All employees who call in sck now are advised to get tested for covid-19 and must be negative before returning to work with documentation. The new guy was told this as well and was supposed to keep us in the loop. That was Friday and not a word from him at all.

Do you think we are asking to much?

No, when he was advised that he needed to be tested he started to back pedal alittle. He didn't sound so committed to the idea of be sick anymore and surprised that we wanted him to be tested.

I will be really surprised if we here from him again but I could be wrong right?

We are comparable to other restaurants if not higher as far as pay goes but enough with this topic.

Is the grass really greener on the other side?

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
