No @Joe7 I never heard of ham called gammon before but it's probably just our plain ham?

Yes weegie corned beef in a can? Do you know how much goodness you're missing out on?

On me dad's side pickled mutton was like corned beef, but lamb and was best sliced cold... only ever had it at crissy but it was boiled (pickled) with red wine, orange juice, honey bayleaves and cloves.... on me otherside me grandad would make an indian style pickle to spread on bread out of mutton. Which would you prefer?

Except for sandwiches, its common to be fresh and boiled with cabbage here. I'm surprised it's not the same there?

Is gammon fresh?
