Hey Juan......if you know the site, then you know "We dont sell anything here"

If you want to smoke....thats your business.

When you want to quit, folks here can help.

But 'selling' you on the idea over and over is silly, no?

Fact is....until you are really ready to stop making excuses, you;ll continue to smoke.

yes afraid of failing of relapse

but you've done relapse loads of times, it hasn't killed you so why be scared to quit incase you relapse?  continuing to smoke is more frightening!!!

You're scared of life without cigarettes.

Man up!!  millions have quit, and have REALISED that they don't need them.

what do you think happens if you don't smoke? nothing happens!!!

keep smoking and theres a 50% chance you'll end up dead.

and that would really suck.

I wrote this a while ago....and this what I stand for and what I believe:

  • If you think you might relapse...then you might relapse.
  • If you keep telling yourself you will fail...then chances are you will.
  • If you believe craves to be intense....intense will be the ride.

If you want to be an ex-smoker, your mindset has to change. Have a positive outlook on things:

  • I will stick to my quit...and you will!
  • The craves are easy to handle....and the ride will be easy!
  • Believe in yourself and an ex-smoker you will see!

Ok ill do it but i want my stripes back from the sarge

then you have to earn them, and I'll be watching to make sure you don't slip up.

no more excuses Juan.

You do this juan and the Sarge and I will give you a bag full of stripes.

just do this already.

Your life really is worth living as a free man, you are young and strong, but don't believe that you are invincible, cancer will cut down the biggest toughest guy.

Quit date is right now, this very second.  agreed?

Juan the addiction makes you fear the quit, you need to get that straight, the addiction is strong but you have to be stronger, yes its uncomfortable and scary, but as each day goes by it gets easier to deal with, your allowing the fear to grow, we are here to support and offer advice to you but we cannot make you keep the quit, you have to do that and you have to believe that you can do that, that's all it really is Juan a belief that you are stronger than the addiction and you will overcome smoking, you don't need it, it does nothing to better your life, its not glamorous, it's life threatening Juan, it will kill you, it will make you suffer, we all have been where you are and we all know the fear you are feeling, but take a step ahead and free yourself while you still can,

If you're scared of life without your cigarettes Juan then maybe you are being emotionally hijacked by your chimp/nicodemon/insert whatever name you fancy?

Watch this video Juan and if this 'sounds' like you then the good news is there is a tool out there to help you help yourself. Warning the video is 7 minutes long, try and watch it all Juan. It will help you understand if the 'psychological addiction' is causing you your fear.

I know you can get them stripes Juan - every single one of them and you will wear them with pride as you would have earned them and we will call you sarge Juan :)

I hope you feedback your thoughts after watching it, if not no matter, but I hope you do.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
