Well today was a major achievement. My car broke down on the way to work and I pulled in at the garage . 2 hour wait for recovery truck and managed not to go for the fags. Under normal circumastances this stress would have ruined my quit... not today though! Very happy

Good work Jules.  Recognizing that cigarettes bring nothing to the table during stressful times is a major step in breaking the cycle of addictive thoughts.

You've got this.

Good stuff Jules!! I love how excited you are about turning your back on smokes in a stressful situation. This show just how committed you are to this quit. As Boo said, it is real progress when you finally realize that smoking does nothing to make your life situations any better.

Good for you!

Smoking a cigarette would not have accomplished anything except throwing away your quit.

It would not have fixed your car faster, or made the truck arrive more quicker.

Common sense !!! :6_smile::6_smile::6_smile:

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
