Flu Season Is Here!

I've been hearing a lot of advertisements in the past week or so to come get your flu shot. You can get the annual vaccine for free where I live; well, not free but paid for through higher taxes. Anyway, it dawned on me today that this will be the first full flu season that I haven't been a smoker. This certainly wasn't a trigger for me to smoke but it was a cause for celebration. With cold & flu season upon us now, if I do get sick I am pretty sure I won't be down and out for as long as I would be when I was smoking. The main thing I will not miss is standing outside, feeling like crap and smoking a cigarette just to feed the addiction. That really should have been the wake-up call for me so many years ago :(

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
