Must say it has been pretty cool watching from the parking lot of my office.

Is anyone else out there checking out the eclipse? And from where.

I am in Long Island NY

Was a bust on my side of town. 2024 will be when it's path comes directly over where I live :)

I was on the Lincoln Center Plaza in NYC with a great friend and co-worker and it was a memorable time.   A lot of cloud cover and several times the sun wasn't visible at all but we got a great view at the peak when clouds cleared away.  The small crowd gave a cheer.  There was a lovely moment of unity among strangers in a big city in that shared experience.

I was in the path of totality in Reliance, Tennessee.  Looking all cool, wearing my welding goggles with #14 lenses.  Met a couple who came all the way from Austria to see the solar event.

Poor crickets didn't know what the hell was going on.

Wow that is great that some of you were in the perfect spot for 100% coverage. Saving my glasses for 2024 :-)

I traveled quite a distance to see it in Madisonville, Kentucky.  It was awesome!  Pictures do not do it justice but here is my best shot.

I got to see it in the John Day area of Eastern Oregon.

Piped "Thus Spake Zarathustra" out my ipod to my car speakers as the totality was reached. :P
