Max Strength Preparation H. Sounds crazy but it stops itching and inflammation anywhere - it's not just for the butt. Do the cream not the ointment....less greasy.

Cortisone cream works almost as well.

Calamine Lotion may help as well. For temporary relief, a cool compress (cloth soaked in cold water) applied to the skin or even immersing the affected area in cool water may help.

Oh no how terrible I swear half the bug sprays are no good... Almost as bad as using a strong sunscreen and getting burned :(

A cold shower and beer.  Works for me.

A simple way to avoid chigger bites in the future is to put a bit of deodorant in any vulnerable areas.  It blocks the pores and doesn't allow the little buggers to inject their saliva.

I'm not that close a friend to anyone to be sucking poison out of them :o

Having a hard time quitting smoking, then get chiggers. I promise you that cigarettes will be last thing you will be thinking about.

After two shots and two prescriptions from the doc the itching is sitarting to fade. It took everything I had to keep from scratching. That was the worst. I will never forget to spray down with repellent again.

lmao!  I was thinking the same thing!  If that were a requirement I would seriously need to evaluate how much I really need any of my friends in my life!!.

Why are you where the bugs are? I understand being a man's man and hunting your own meat but then you grow up and get a job. Only thing the woods are for, is passing through on a motorized anything. Boat car or bike. Other great thing of being a paid man's man is buying your meat. Already plucked ducked skinned and wrapped. Then fire up grill in the cut grass or cement pond area of the yard and still no critters. Or for a treat- eat out. I love to eat out. My wife likes it too

Duct tape your hands and get a straw for the beer. Then sit back and enjoy the itch realizing it's still easier than a cigarette urge. Smile and squirm but don't scratch or your weak.
