Return to civilization

I just returned from an amazing adventure. Me and my boyfriend spent a week in the most remote island off the coast of Belize. I have to say this is the first vacation as a non-smoker and couldn't even imagine trying to do this trip as  a smoker. The final destination was 20 miles by boat from land. On the tiniest little self sustaining island. All electric and water were done right there. Solar and generators kept the electric going and rain water and desalination was used for running water. This was also my first snorkel trip as a non-smoker and I found the anxiety I used to feel wasn't as bad. Probably because now breathing is a more enjoyable event. LOL.

Welcome back DEE :)

I once went to an out island quite a way off the coast of Belize too. Can't recall the name of that one but it was really nice. Self contained and self sufficient like you say. There were a lot of Xpats from the U.S. and Canada living there too I recall. Beautiful waters around Belize!

I'll ask my son if he likes it too...  Somehow a cigarette doesn't fit into that beautiful pristine picture.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
