Today I was talking to my cat in the kitchen.  And as he wasn't answering back, I started answering back for him in a silly voice.  This went on for ten minutes if not longer.

Is this something to be worried about, and a known side effect of quitting smoking?

:help:

Cats have a fabulous sense of smell..he's used to you smelling like a ash tray...

Now you've quit..and smell lovely ..he's confused..give him time to get to know the new you..

You will be soon chatting to each other again...I wouldn't worry at all x

This is most definitely a quit smoking side effect. Voicing for cats happens most often to quitters who have passed the two week marks in their quits.  No cause for alarm.    lol

Don't mind cats. It's cat people and posts that are not allowed

Box shitters

Actually, I don't mind the shit in a box. It's the ones on the floor I don't care for :P

Talking and answering for cats is perfectly acceptable. Crazy cat people abound here.

Pay no mind to Bakon, he's like the anti cat man haha. (My cat would still be able to take him though so all good  :D )

I love cats on the table. Same feet that play with their droppings like it's a soccer ball

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
