Hi

I've come to this site as I was on Quit Smoking Message Board and it's not working.  So glad I've found this site!  I quit on 18 April, so 15 days in!

A big Quit Train welcome CP1973 :) Take your seat over there in 1st class and buckle in for the ride to freedom! We know how important it is to have a community of support here and I'm sure you were getting great care and advice on the other site too. Hopefully you'll feel right at home here real soon too. You've done a lot of the really hard work at 15 days but there's still a way to go yet. Stay close to us here on the board & we'll do all we can to help you along :)

Hey Claire!  I too came over from QSMB.  I think many folks will be migrating.  Welcome to the train!  I've found the same great support here and look forward to continuing our quit journey together!

Welcome Claire. Congratulations on your two week quit. Those two weeks were the hardest. Everyday gets just a little easier. Keep doing what your doing. It can be done if you really want it.

Thanks for all your support!  I've been quit for 18 days now.  It does get easier.  When I got up this morning, I didn't think about smoking for the first time.  Still needing to keep busy and going out for walks in the park.

That's great CP1973 :)

Yes, you are at the stage now when you'll start to get some relief from that seemingly unrelenting craving and anxious feeling. You still have work to do and will still have some struggles and down days but now you know that YOU CAN DO IT :)

That's the best part. When you start to come out the other side of the hard times and suddenly realize; hey, I think I just might be able to actually do this after all :dance2:

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
