Just feeling a little sad

Not really smoking related, so please remove the post if inappropriate.

Just feeling very alone and sad tonight - my OH called early to let me know his father (my father-in-law) had just died.  We had been expecting it, but it has still come as such a shock.  Feel so useless being here in France while he is in UK dealing with all this.  Most people don't like their in-laws, but I love mine so much, more so since I lost my own parents a few years back.

I've not been tempted to smoke at all weirdly.

Anyway, just wanted to get that off my chest.  It helps to write it down as I can't say it out loud being on my own.

Stay strong everyone - life is so precious, so let's do all we can to make it as good as possible, without those pesky cigarettes.

Thanks everyone.  Just spoken to my OH and he is holding up well.  It has been expected, which from my own experience kind of makes it a little easier to cope with.

I will stay strong for us all.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
