"We must all suffer from one of two pains: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret.  The difference is discipline weighs ounces while regret weighs tons." --Jim Rohn

I came across that line in a book I was reading last night.  When you weigh the discipline required to quit against the regret of potentially losing everything to smoking, the choice is an easy one.  And the thing is, there is no actual pain involved in quitting.  A few days of feeling a bit foggy mentally and some moments of agitation.  Small price to pay for a life of freedom.  As I look back on the process, I'm actually thankful for the times that were a pain in the ass in the moment.  They forced me to expand my horizons and instilled the idea that discipline leads to freedom.

This process will change you in ways you didn't foresee and will leave you with only one regret: that you didn't quit sooner.

Don't let denial..stop you from freeing your self..once you understand this addiction..why we stay hooked..

What we are actually smoking on a daily basis..quitting becomes easier..it's not as hard as you imagine..

Don't wait to quit..until you have no choice.. Smoking has done its worse..

My hubby and I..did just that..

Living day by day on a oxygen machine..is much more painful ,than a few days discomfort...

Being told quit or amputation...is much worse than a few day discomfort...

Don't think for one minute this won't be you....if only we could turn back the clock !!!!!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
