I remind myself that quitting smoking is a process.  The nicotine is now out of my system (or so I have read), but the side-effects continue.

My sinuses had decided today would be a good day shut down and not function.  Don't care, I am staying on target.

Falling asleep last night took forever and I'm groggy and a little punch-drunk this morning.  Don't care, I am staying on target.

Brain fog has crept in and I just type "uv" and not "of" and I am pretty sure that's wrong.  Don't care, I am staying on target.

Today's mantra: Stay on target

So AWESOME!!!

Everything sounds like your quit is going GREAT!!!

Your sinus issues may be your body cleaning out all those toxins.

Stay on target!  It's so worth it!

Hour by hour you can get by in the beginning.  No point turning back now since each hour brings you closer to squashing the craves for good.

I love this post...stay on target..of course..it only gets better ...

All temporary... Soon all the little niggly bits will dissapear...your body is a bit confused at the moment..

But it will settle down soon enough..

That's how the process works.  The objective has been clearly defined and the path is straightforward.  Any bumps in the road or foggy patches encountered are merely minor obstacles that cannot derail a person on a mission.  With the benefits offered by the process, this journey will pay dividends not even imagined on day one.

Buckle up, knuckle down, drive on.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
