Hey Doreen!!

I'm doing great at the moment. I had a very tough crave last night that lasted almost an hour, but I won! :yahoo:

Thanks for checking up.

Great job!

As our lovely Saz says, make sure you are rewarding yourself with each milestone. Yes, an actual treat as you utterly deserve and will be able to afford nice things. A magazine, a scented candle, a new lipstick - something that is a reward instead of using money to smoke. It will help if you can see benefits too :) x

Keep going.  It does get easier.

Even if you have to put your head down and barrel your way through it.

Proud of you !!

Nicotine has pretty much left your body Forever now, Marlene.

Craves will get further and further apart

while you learn to change your patterns that were all about addiction.

The concept of H.A.L.T. (are you Hungry, Angry, Lonesome, Tired) was really helpful to me

to understand what my body was really trying to tell me.

This thread, Riffing on Halt may be helpful to you and also this one from Babs about  H.A.L.T too.

I am so happy you have quit.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
