Nearly at the top of the 3 day hump. My ex boyfriend was texting me last night wanting me back and what a big mistake he made. Don't want him. Told him to stop texting. He's still texting. Crying again. I'm full of anxiety. Shakes. My body is crying out for a cigarette. Want to crawl into a hole for a few days.

I don't even think new shoes will fix this right now.

Need a hug... Think I'm going to take a drive to my mums house. Mums rock!

My plan, get up, shower, get dressed, drive to mums. And not smoke.

Wow you were awake early Sarah. Sounds like a plan to drive to Mums and maybe turn the phone off for a while. Does you mum live close by?

You are dealing with a lot of things all at once Sarah, so you are bound to feel like this.

I agree that mum hugs really are great and should make you feel so much better.

And new shoes? Surely they would help you feel a little bit better ;)

Hey Sarah. Good morning to you too!

On ex. He's not worth it. You deserve better. If he moves from text, to hand written letter, air ticket and reservations at the George v, then perhaps reconsider.

Mums are fantastic.

You are the puppy's Privates. The way you are feeling is normal. It gets much better.

Keep going on!

Hello Sarah, missed your welcoming so, Welcome glad you are taking back your life!

Its not an easy road to travel, lots of bumps along the way, but with each bump you overcome

your strength gets stronger and something else happens, you feel pride and a sence of accomplishment

because not a lot of people can do what you are doing! Other good things like breathing better, feeling better,

whiter teeth, sence of smell returns, ect, ect, lots of good things also happens. You have a lot on your

plate is sounds but deal with each thing one at a time like your quit, one day at a time!

You came to the right place to start and your mum im sure is very proud of you too!

Best of luck to you!!!

Please make sure and reward yourself...New shoes sounds good to me :-) A nice dessert or icecream, a new haircut, new shoes, a special magazine....give yourself a non smoking reward.

((((Sarah))))

Please pamper yourself today.  Quitting smoking will give you strength even though you don't feel it right now, you will.

You are getting through the worst of it, so hang in there.

Sorry about the ex, but it sounds like it is for the best.

Be happy and proud of both of your decisions and move forward positively.

maninskirt- puppy privates? why you call her a penis?

sarah- day three, awesome, your fine, all normal. ass kicking day, be ready, drink juice, keep blood suger up, smokes make body relelase blood sugar and yours will be down. cranberry juice was recommended, but that stuff is not so much fun. don't inter mix boyfriend here. quit and him separate. they are called ex'es for a reason, but if he got a big wallet or willie, well who knows...just don't let him and quit rely on each other in anyway

NOPE- stick it in mind all day. Cant fail if you don't puff. Place one smoke to your lips and your done. Quit is lost and start this mess all over again.

((((HUGS))))

You have got this!!!  Your already ahead of me when I was on day three, I barely left the couch other than to take my youngest to preschool and pick him up.  You have a pretty great plan :)  Id also include those shoes, you never know, they really could fix a few things!!

Sarah, it takes 3 days for the majority of the nicotine to leave your system, so you're almost free from that... afterwards, it's just mind over matter... if you have the attitude that you will continue to be a non-smoker, then you will, and I wish you the very best.

Hey, if he keeps texting you, don't respond, not even to say "stop texting me"... he'll get the message :)

My favourite slice of Pork. I swear in your last life you were a trout. I just put a fly out there and up you come...

Puppy's privates is a nicer way of saying the Dogs Bollocks...which us islanders use as a compliment.

"that film was the dogs bollocks" means that was an excellent cinematic piece of art.

Sarah? How is it going my luv?

Thanks everyone :)

Curled up in bed with a crazy sore throat, don't know if its a not smoking thing or if I'm getting a cold.

Mum was amazing, feel calm and I don't think I need a cigarette but do want one if that makes any sense?!

Nighty night xxx

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
