The fun way to quit

Psychotropic drugs have great potential for healing our heads which is what Dr. Timothy Leary was all about.

I think I squandered that potential in the 60's and 70's  :P

but, I sure had a blast.

I do remember looking at a lit cigarette, about to take a drag and thinking, 'this is a very very weird, unnatural thing to do'.

It makes sense that psilocybin would help addicts break on through to the other side.  Psilocybin leads to users breaking away from the constraints of existing neural pathways and seeing things from a new perspective.  Underused pathways are lit up while old pathways are bypassed.  This has proved helpful not only with addicts but also those suffering from depression and other psychological issues.  The results of the controlled studies done using psilocybin and MDMA to help veterans suffering from PTSD have left the medical community somewhat stunned.

Psychedelics are not necessary to break addiction, but breaking the rigid thought patterns that enslave you will facilitate your journey to freedom.

There are things known and there are things unknown, and in between are the doors of perception.  --Aldous Huxley

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
