August 16, 201610 yr stressed out because of various things and went out for a beer after 30 days sober... junkie mind calling for a smoke... I wont smoke, but I really just want to calm my nerves.... I need to get over this bitterness I have with life...
August 16, 201610 yr Skil...look at that fabulous quit you have...your mind can truly be your worst enemy... Would smoking alter the stuff that going on in your life..NO... All the crap is still there..then you will feel worse cos you have lost your quit making it more crap.. Even never smokers have to deal with curve balls that come along in life... Don't give in to your junkie thinking..it will pass...fight and March on.. Stay close to the board ,while you are feeling low..we will help you through .. NOPE...my friend...
August 16, 201610 yr Author Thanks Doreen, I'm not going to throw this quit away.... But I am on my third beer, so I have thrown sobriety away tonight.... I am sticking to NOPE though, its the one dependable thing that i have right now...

Facing life head on..dealing with things on life's terms..will make you a stronger person... Put down the beer too..you are strong going guy...hold your head up and be proud... The problems will get sorted.. Stay with us...play games...the sticks need help at the moment..us chicks have them licked.. Deep breaths skill...

August 17, 201610 yr Author I did not smoke. But I'm at work with with a hangover and wondering which is really harder... giving up the drink or the sticks? I needed this as a reminder of why I can run and hide under a bottle. It's like hiding from a fire under a gas soaked blanket. But then again, didn't I know that? Thanks for the quick responses, that was my first SOS ever.... hopefully, I won't need more in the future. But I feel relieved knowing you all are here for me when I need it.

Learn by what's happened...dust down and get back on track...you had 30days sober..well done for that, but no reason why you carnt get back to where you were..just move on... Don't stray far...keep with us...you will always find support here
