I relapsed, no excuses

Evelyn

Recommended Posts

Tracey already knew it. I got booze and smoked. I was too ashamed to come back. I am no failure, and I will not make an excuse for why I relapsed. I am sorry I don't want you all to think I use your trust lightly. Honestly I love you all very much and if you either respond with tough love or a hug, it's ok caz I need both.

I am going to make this my sticky quit.

Day by day, NOPE by NOPE

I will always encourage you Evelyn but it doesn't matter whether we chose tough words of soft. It's only you that can make this happen!

I believe in you, as do others here. BUT you have to believe in YOU.

I am pleased you posted Evelyn, you have so much going on you need support from all corners

You have admitted about the booze, please get help with that!

Feeling ashamed can be a friend or an enemy it can make you face up and fight or make you hide and run away

You chose to fight for yourself

The booze and smoking it's all just a screen, a barrier and it will mess with your head and your meds and you will find yourself on this merry go round of too many highs and lows

Addiction is like a disease be it nicotine, drink, drugs whatever if its used to block stuff out then its a problem

You know we will support you when you take the first steps to help yourself as that's the only time our support can make a difference

Proud you came back to nope, now go apply the same strategy for whatever else you know you need

Love and hugs xxx

Don't feel extra bad....use that to get yourself right.

We are behind you.  I am glad to see you make changes and get on the Good Foot.

I'm giving myself one chance with alcohol. If I get drunk and get sick I go to the AA. I am allowed to drink one wine, for example with new years eve. BUT I am not alcohol. Not yet and I will not turn into that. I am not my parents.
I am not a failure. I did so well in the 16 month quit.
I do this right here, right now.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
