Nikki and me have been fighting so much throughout the past two years that I think I've finally had enough. I'm not sure, though, since I broke up with her multiple times, but crawled back to her later. Last September, I broke up with her and thought it was for good, but three months later, after drinking a tiny bit of vodka, I came back to her. As she opened the door, I could smell how fresh she was and immediately proceeded to take her top off. Not a minute later, we were sharing the same breath and enjoying ourselves. I could not resist her for next six months even though we fought often, but six days ago I got sick of her and told her I'm leaving for good again. She laughed at me and said I will come back, but ever since I'm going stronger than ever.

How's that for an introduction? I felt like writing that because this song inspired me to give it another try.

Anyway, in my free time I like to write code, poems and workout.

Hello QT (cute :D) community! I'd like to jump in the train!

Welcome Wineman

and congratulations on your new and precious quit of six glorious days !

Please, learn all you can about Nicotine Addiction.

This will help to ensure a successful quit.

Watch all the vids.

You might want to stay away from alcohol for a while....many of us did, just until we were stronger in our quit.

Alcohol is a big factor in relapses.

You're funny,  I have never ever heard of "a tiny bit of vodka" !  :P

Have Fun, Wineman, you are on a wonderful adventure.

Great song btw about nicotine addiction, Wineman, 'Nicky' by Logic.

Welcome to the train! I threw away a 3 month quit before and kicked myself for the month and a half after it, constantly telling myself I'd quit tomorrow. I finally put on a patch and put on my big girl panties 4 almost 5 days ago. Make sure you have all those things thrown out because they will taunt you! And as someone else said (I'm feeling too lazy to scroll right now) stay away from alcohol.

That's cool---  one of the best,, if not the best-

you gotta want it man- its gonna kill us if we smoke,, slowly, surly,,,

just go one day at a time--  you,ll like it after a,while---    a lot

I tell everybody,,, gum, tic-tac ,,,whatever,, for a,while,,,,    that really really helped me-- habit replacement- but it evaporated eventually

There is a great purpose in this-- you run you-- not that little 3 1/2" long spike---  man it stinks too,,,

be strong an stay here,,,,

Peace ,RC

Hey wineMan

Welcome aboard!

Take a seat and start reading. Education about the nicotine addiction was the key to my quit, and believe it is the key to all quits.

The more you understand the addiction, the better your chances of breaking it....

One day at a time!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
