Coffee Talk

I'm way over my standard Folgers, and am starting to think I may invest in a French Press.

Downside to French Press is the whole process of making it and waiting for it in the morning.  I love that my drip coffee maker is ready for me when I wake up.  :)

What is your favorite brand of coffee?  Some thing smooth & bold, but not too strong & muddy tasting?

MQ - I know you'll have some input. :)

You're welcome everywhere!!!  We love you! :) and coffee is coffee.  I've been drinking Folgers everyday for as long as I have been drinking coffee - Just craving something different.

I'm not a Starbucks fan so much.  Their coffee tastes a little bitter and too strong/thick for me.  Their Blonde is better for me, but not too rich in flavor and still a little bitter.

My favorite coffee is brewed by me.  In fact, I'm drinking my first cup of the morning right now.  :)

Fresh coffee beans, filtered water (I use a Zero filter), a Bodum burr grinder and a Technivorm Moccamaster brewer.  Grinding the beans immediately before each pot and never, ever let coffee sit and cook on a warmer, never let it sit longer than 20 minutes and the right dosing makes for a perfect cup of all that is good.  :)

Folgers reminds me of the dark days before enlightenment.  :read:

We go to Costco and they have this San Francisco Bay brand. They have a few different kinds if you'd like to try it, but it comes in whole bean so you have to grind it. Online it might come in ground though, I'm not sure. But we get that and their decaff for the afternoons, and it's pretty good.

To be honest, since I have quit smoking, I don't enjoy coffee the way I used to...it simply has a different effect on me.

I used to always have coffee brewing, drinking 2 or 3 POTS through out the day..., but for the last couple years, maybe 2 cups in the morning and I am done.

Caffeine may be the next addiction I try to conquer ! ;) :)

SoberJulie has become a giant coffee snob (now that my taste buds are like superhero powered buds!)

We bought ourselves a Delonghi MagnificaS cappuccino/espresso/coffee Center.

I buy fresh beans weekly and grind them myself.

I only buy from a local shop, they roast fair trade beans on site.

See? Coffee snob.

But man....that stuff is like gold in a cup. A party in my mouth. A hug for my soul
