Hi friends..I'm back for good this time! This needs to be my sticky quit. At a conference and decided this is best time to begin a smoke free life again. Om too old to keep this nasty habit up, been exercising and getting in shape now get rid of the junkie smoker..excuse me, did kick that jerk to the curb!!I know I can do it..there is no better time then now. Babs, anyone please resort my ticker, I tried and couldn't get it. This time no, Chantix, no patches, just a cold turkey. Got one solid day in. Looks like there's many new people here!Awesome...hope you all accept me back...

Welcome back, Jess!  Let's make this your forever quit. You can do this!

 

As far as your ticker, I think you just have to delete it from your signature and make another one.

 

Please stay close to the board and let us know how we can help!

I'm new here, so it's nice to meet you Jess.

 

It sounds like you took a few practice runs at quitting and now you're ready to set yourself free for good.  This quit, and maintaining it, is all that matters now.

 

 

I know I can do it..there is no better time then now.

 

Absolutely.  You can do this and with one-day under your belt, you are already rewiring yourself for success.  Onward and upward.

Hi Jess, choose a photo too ! Welcome back.  Did you take the NOPE pledge today?  When I first did this everyday, I was so proud to write "NOPE" for another day as the time added up. Creating new habits.

cheesehead----------about freakin time........you are picking my favorite method. One day is HUGE on cold turkey...reward yourself with a candybar.

 

Cold turkey to me is like getting it over with NOW. No p4ssyfooting around. Just do it. Grab it and go for a ride, but do it and know the things you feel are not a drug or patch, they are the craves dying, kicking and fighting to stay and trick you into "just one" but you step on the craves neck and let it struggle....all the things which feel weird or out of place while cold turkey are feeelings of healing, don't ruin it with any special treatment, no gum patch or puff, let your body throw all those chemicals out.

 

NOPE  Not ONE puff ever....

 

Cheesehead you better stick around for a year. One year pledge for everyday.....

Almost 48 hrs cold turkey...The "just one" is calling me a few times but I'm staying strong and marching on...This time it's for and about me....I need to do this without any patch, grubs or replacements..

Also, your missing your pic...the last one was pretty good,but you have had time to practice your selfies, so we expect better now. :p
