Nicky tells me..they still smoke everywhere ..no restrictions at all..

She had to eat her meals..surrounded by folks puffing away...

Being a non smoker ..she found this very hard...

I don't think I will be visiting Paris any time soon..

Some colleagues of mine just returned from Jakarta and it was the same thing there.  He had quit smoking 8 years prior and started again when they were living there.  Now they're back in the US, his direct colleagues are a bunch of health nuts and he's having a rough go of it.  I have no doubt he'll quit but yea, some cultures make addiction easy.

The weird thing is, France actually passes a lot of anti-smoking restrictions.  They simply don't enforce them.  Which begs the question: why pass the restrictions in the first place?

 

C'mon France, join us in saying NAN!...or whatever the French equivalent of NOPE! is.

In Brussels outside the EU building that legislates the curvature of bananas and the colour of carrots , are the pubs that these people (MPS) freely smoke their tax free cigars in . Sorry if that sounds political but it's true lol

Wow, I had no idea about this!  Makes Paris sound a whole lot less romantic!
