So..........yes...I quit smoking...lost 70 lbs..big transformation all around.  Mind, body, spirit in alignment.  Well..80 Percent anyway.  But from November to February I lost my oomph.  It happens.  My weight had plateaued (actually I gained 10 back) and even though I was still exercising 5 days a week...I cheated way too much in the kitchen..and it was starting to show.

I don't think so....I worked too damn hard!  So..............it was time to leave the old and begin the new.

I started with a personal trainer....and boy oh boy....he is whipping me into shape fast!!  I can't believe it.  I workout every day (skipping a day here and there) and each workout is extremely intense.

My trainer though....he's been in the business for many years and he truly is the best!  He makes it fun and he's so encouraging and calls me a "beast" which I love (anyone else would be insulted...not me)  I have always been intimidated by trainers and I was with him at first...the only reason I have him is because he's a personal friend and offered to show me a few things.  Now we are "workout partners".  He works along side of me so I don't pay him to do it.  He actually retired from doing training because he was sick of the excuses people made and hated training people who didn't take their health and fitness seriously.  The lack of commitment drove him crazy.  He told me if he had 20 like me,  he would have stayed in the biz.  That was the best compliment he could give me.  He introduced me the other day to a friend of his at the gym as his "project"..lol..then turned to me and said.."I hope that didn't offend you"  I was like are you kidding???  Loved it.

He just enjoys watching me grow and improve myself.  He likes watching my confidence soar almost daily and he's also been talking to me about self worth and making me believe I can do anything I set my mind to.  I'm lucky to have such a friend!!

so watch out peeps...there really is NOOOOO stopping babs now.

love you all and keep moving!

Keep going Babs!!!  You truly are an inspiration to us!!!  I don't need to lose weight, but I could certainly gain some strength.  We are stronger when we work on our goals together, even if some of us aren't as vocal about it.

YOU GO GIRL!!! :) (AKA Beast!)

You are one of the people who truly inspired me to start taking better care of myself. I've been watching your transformation and think it's amazing! I'm glad you realize that everyone loses their oomph - it happens. There's nothing more discouraging than seeing your progress plateau.

You rock! You will kick ass!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
