Hello!

I haven't been around for AGES but happy to report i'm still smoke free - I've just been chatting to my cousin who is wanting to stop smoking and I pointed her towards here, which made me want to come in and say; hello! She should be along in the next few days!  (Kath)

xx

Good to see you pop in and report that you have remained smoke free!

We have got a few new members the last couple days, but no Kath...let her know we are watching for her, and that she will be welcomed. :)

You need to stick around and post your 1 year anniversary. That's a huge milestone and you are but a couple weeks away!

Congrats and stop in a little more often...all support is appreciate. ;)

Thanks Joe I will - I was a bit selfish, took the support and went, but it was the only way I could handle my quit and so far its worked. I will never forget how this place helped me, when totally nothing at all came close to helping me stop. I will for sure hang around more to bug you all :)

No need to feel bad for doing what you needed to do to break the addiction...there are a lot of people who can't handle the daily reminder of smoking, so they lurk and use what they need to to succeed , and move on....there is nothing wrong with that...I'm just glad when they pop back in and let us know that they(you) are still smoke free and enjoying the new new freedom you gained!

Hey, nice to "see" you!  Like the others said, no need to feel guilty for not being here.  The point is you found what you needed while you were here and you are smoke free!!!  That is fantastic!  Very happy for you.

Your first year celebration!

There was a post long ago (I believe somewhere else) about quitting being like climbing a rope past certain parts of a ship... the prize was the lido deck waiting for you to celebrate. It was a great post, I need to find it and link it.

Nice to see a familiar face and I'm not the least bit surprised that you're still quit.  Thanks for dropping by and the the train runs 24/7.  We'll be looking for Kath. :)

Hi Karl, So good to hear from you. Again another who never doubted you'd stay quit and I agree, whatever works and when it works is all good. Just happy you're almost a year.

And welcome Kathy :)

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
