The non-smoker needs to decide whether he should listen to his head or his heart.

The smoker/ex-smoker needs to decide whether he should listen to his head his heart, or the junkie.  This can make things very difficult if you allow the junkie to put his two cents in.   Make your decision easier.  Recognize the junkie and shut him up.

Good post Trish. I agree completely. Once you learn how to control the junkie (or at least learn how to recognise it) you stand a far greater chance at remaining a non-smoker.

That's right Trish. You are always in the drivers seat. You choose to BE a non-smoker and you make choices AS a non-smoker.

Sometimes it's hard to tell the who is talking and who isn't. The lies have been truth for so long that they have become real. It takes time I guess. And alot of listening.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
