Why I am quitting

Daily reminders for myself:

 

I want to stop smelling like an ashtray, being mindful to not get too close to anyone or breathe in their direction.

 

I want to continue to be able to take a deep breath. No more shortness of breath.

 

I dont want to suffer a long battle with a smoking related disease and die.

 

I am grateful for day 12.

 

I am grateful I am walking thru a cancer scare and new job stress and have not lit up.

 

How is everyone? What are your reasons to quit and what are you grateful for?

BECAZ i don't want to be dependand on some substance that kills my lungs and me. I may need meds but I have a choice over addiction to become free and i will not turn into an alcoholic or stay an shimney.

 

And my favorite one cut the crap and stick with NOPE as it's the only way to stay free, life will throw hairballs at each of us but it's up to us to CHOOSE not to puff the single one, there's not one puff; i tried and i fooled myself i got hooked right away.

 

NOT ONE PUFF EVER

and

what ecxuse junkie thinking throws at ya 'cut the crap' and cry shout scream but do not light that one will only make you feel horribly guilty and addictive

I don't want to die a smoker...regardless if I die from an illness that was caused by smoking  (chances are good that I will)

 

because for the last 3 years...I have been free....and there's no better feeling in the world than freedom...NONE. 

 

I am grateful each day I open my eyes and can get out of bed..and breathe, walk, workout, run, laugh, cry, reminisce, work, love.etc etc.

 

Actually life is pretty darn good...and believe me...I have no particular reason to say that....except that I love WHAT IS NOW.
