So happy for you, Ross!  Your beautiful baby will never know a smoking father...what a wonderful gift you have given your family!  Take time to do something special for yourself, today!

Congratulations Ross!  You are a true champion and mentor.  Thank you for your insight and contribution here.  Like others have mentioned, it is wonderful that your baby will not know a parent who smokes.  Enjoy your day.

You will never touch that baby's little hands/feet/head with smokey residue upon your fingers.

Your child will not have to worry about their father's addiction.

What you've accomplished is commendable and responsible.

Way to go.

Thank you all - I have only just spotted this as I was away with work for a few days, and had completely forgotten all about my quitversary (other things on my mind I guess!).

For all my old friends here, thank you for being with me - for any support I have offered you, you have all given it back in spades. Couldn't have done it without you all (literally).

For all the newbies, and people starting again... I promise one day smoking won't even be a thought... I hardly ever think about it, unless maybe I see or smell someone else smoking, and I haven't had what you could call a 'crave' for ages, certainly not since I found out we are having a baby, so at least 7-8 months! Any bad feelings will go away, period. Just stay strong and stay close to the board and don't make any silly choices, and you will be OK too. :d

Thanks again to all, you really are lifesavers!

PS I'm not going anywhere, this is just my annual speech, lol :good:

Gah, I missed another one. I'm bad at this. Congratulations on two years, and a nice speech to boot. Looking forward to hearing it again next year!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
