Hola Quit Train Peeps,

Just wanted to say I am still out here and still smoke free.   I have been exceedingly busy over the last few weeks.  Have hit a few hard bumps and had come very very close to smoking a few times.

Been in the space of f-it , yet still smoke free.

not sure how or why....just grateful I haven't lit up.

Sooooo MANY YEARS of addiction and a few months of freedom.....   mind playing games with me.

resisting posting here.

grateful to get here and read  the support offered to others hitting rough patchs.

I can't change the choices I've made.  I can choose consciously ....  why doI sometimes want to choose to make things worse?   How did I learn to treat myself so poorly?   Why is it SOOOO ridiculously challenging to learn to love on mySelf?

Thanks to all the people here who stand, speak, support, and share.

The support is offered freely and because we know and have travelled the journey, I say don't resist posting here. You never know who else would benefit from reading your words either. It helps to keep it real and get someone to virtually wrap an arm round your shoulders and say hey, you got this, you're doing great! Which you are :)

Also don't ever be fooled, self love or not, that's addiction thoughts you're facing down. No need to fear them, just understand that, face them and tell them nope, or no more...whatever your thing is and calmly move forward.

xx

Glad you are still with us and smoke free - great news!

No matter what happens, or how hard things get, smoking is NEVER the answer. Hope to see you again soon, and don't be afraid to post!

Well done, Kendra!  Please don't resist posting, that is why we are all here.  You are almost to a huge milestone...three months quit!  Good for you!

Since you've come very close to smoking, sounds like you might need to stop resisting posting here and start again.  :)  No need to have such close brushes with smoking.

There is no shame in posting, support groups are here for everyone to stand together no matter where we are in our quits we are all just one puff away to being back where non of us want to be.

P.S I think you are doing a sterling job

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
