Funny in a sick way that not too long after posting this, I am in the throws of a craving/doubt I want to quit.

OF COURSE I want to quit or I wouldn't have come this far.

NicoDemon, go back to your cage.

That's it Michelle... You have to recognize the addiction for what it is...it's a voice in your head that goes against all logic. It tries to seduce you into lighting up by claiming it will calm your nerves, it will help you deal with stress (life) ...just 1 more..etc...etc..... It's nothing more than lies that you tell YOURSELF... The real sad part is, you know it's a lie , and STILL want to figure out a way to believe it!....

It's an addiction , plain and simple.... To beat it you have to recognize it for what it is and move forward ....

I think you may be moving forward!!

Good job and keep marching!

Your right Michelle..

I rarely think about it, as it is no longer a part of my routine...

I am not sure exactly when that happened, but like everyone who has successfully quit will say...

It DOES get better... Early on, you are put through a lot of struggles... As you clear your lungs and change your habits.. The urges just seem to go away to..

Remember these struggles..one day you will be proud to know you faced this head on and beat it....

OF COURSE YOU ARE.......

Take it steady...day by day.....or hour by hour....or minute by minute....for today.....

Tomorrow we do the same again....but worry about tomorrow........tomorrow.....

Well done...xx

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
