New members don't know us and occasionally we need to say a little so they know something past you own a boxshitter from the avatar

so post something about what you do for money (or did do before golfing full time and sitting around writing about every month) and what you do for fun...

I am a peace maker at work, I referee of life, just call them like I see them....I like this line from the words of the WHO,

I woke up in a Soho doorway

the .....knew my name

He said "You can go sleep at home tonight

if you can get up and walk away"

As for fun, Beer, Motorcycle and wife....expert in all parts of those three, but only play with two of the three at same time. Safety first!

Used to organize the chaos, now I create the chaos.  Money was better on the organizing side of it.

Dogs are fun, campfires are fun, cocktails and gabbing with friends is fun.  Traveling and seeing how other's live is fun.

At work I basically help bring home the bacon (no pun intended. Lol ). A nurse by trade but hung up my cap for an office and computer. Hard to explain but I help maximize reimbursement fo the hospital

on the side... I ventured out and decided to do what I do best. Teach women. Empower women. It's a great job and fun. I came out of the backseat and am now a romance enhancement specialist.

Job is still on the down low as I am continually training but I am and will be a better Holistic healer. I also organise meet ups for other therapists.

Life is pretty busy with children so not loads of hobbies but I go to a gym for fitness and to have an outlet for my excess energy. Motor sports but only on tv for now, my other half goes, I will when the children are older. Other than that I tend to study new subjects that interest me for fun, astrology/healing/angels and have made some new friends that way too.

Sarge used to sling code for a living. SQL, C# and VBA, primarily ... but he's been "semi-retired" for 4 years now and just putzes around the yard growing food/dinner and runs marathons these days.

Easy Peasy

Was in financial services - currency exchange, international money transfer. Now deliver training seminars and advise companies on anti money laundering and counter terrorist financing regulation.

As Bakon hinted - I also play golf, am writing a book and blog on all sorts of nonsense at stuartlennon.com

Unemployed, but looking (every day). Ugh. Two college degrees and can't get a job... grumble.

Hobbies include: Reading (mostly fiction), painting my nails, pretending to be a dancer, and drawing.

Is drinking martinis considered a hobby?

Haha, I only take holidays since I quit, before that I hadn't been anywhere (other then the seaside once in a caravan - sweet mother of god, nope) for 9 years! But if holidaying can be considered a hobby, then yes - part of my continued quit promise is a holiday a year, in this country or abroad and a bucket list has been mentally prepared :) xx

I've worked in Logistics/Supply Chain/Materials Mgmt in remote locations (arctic/antarctica).  It would be way cool to work on the International Space Station's PSCM team but I'm not smart or credentialed enough to qualify.  Been unemployed for a while; it's time to get a job.  Still think dogs, campfires and cocktails w/friends are fun.

I do office work all day.

And by office work I really mean pretend to work while watching porn and surfing message boards like this.

Masturbation has become a hobby as since my quit, I don't know what else to do with my hands.

I hope that changes soon.

I think I have given myself carpal tunnel.

Is that even possible?

I work in a hospital pharmacy manageing a discount drug program that provides services to the low income/uninsured in our community. I've been doing this for about 2 years and I love it!

Prior to that I worked in the IT department of the same hospital supporting the software they used for billing.  About 18 years there.

I like just about any out door activity except during the winter months. Boating, swimming, hiking in particular.   Love spending time with my girls shopping and giggling.  I also collect cats....

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
