Today at the dentist, he stopped for a moment and asked to examine my tongue in detail. I thought oh sh--t, is it time to pay the piper? Tongue cancer! I spent a few seconds thinking about me with no tongue and chemo and the horror. I thought here is the result of 30 years of smoking, my stupidity, my feeling of invincibility letting me suck up death sticks for so long.

After a few seconds he moved on. All routine. Phew!

Another reason never to take another puff. Another reason not to fool myself into thinking that smoking will some how help me deal with stress, or diet, etc.

Glad all was ok sweetheart...

When we smoked...we didn't think of stuff like that...it's only when you quit...we see the danger

I had to have a biopsy on my tongue years ago....did it scare me enough to quit...........no......

Crazy thinking...

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
