You know that tea kettle dog whistle sound, that you literally hear under your breath, but think is coming from somewhere else? And when you realize it's you, you panic, because it won't go away, and now you've finally done it. And what if it never goes away? What if...

I love never hearing that sound.

* edited to add knock wood no jinxies cross my heart.

X2!!!! For Realz.  That freaked me the funk out.

Some folks here in the office have this nagging....down deep...knarly... wet..... nastiass smokers cough.  Great reminders.

I love not impacting the people I love with second hand smoke.

My marvelous man used to get  headaches instantly when I'd smoke ....

I love not planning and revolving everything I do/don't do around smoking, even at home!!... i.e whitening my teeth, late night snack, eating breakfast, going back to sleep, the list goes on.

As a smoker (after working 16 hours) I'd feel all wiry and anxious and strung-out from the cigarettes I had used to "fuel" me through that double shift.

Instead...I'm just sleepy, peaceful and grateful to be home.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
