The first 4-gallon batch of Black Currant Wine from last month's fresh berries in The Perennial Garden has finished fermenting this week. It needs some ageing, but gotta sample it while bottling, right?

Apple Cider season starts next week.

 

Of all Sarge's libations, the Apple Cider from his own Orchard is the one he is most proud of (barely edging out the Elderberry Wine[1]).

[1] Elderberry suffered some serious winterkill at -15 degrees last winter. There may be no Elderberry Wine this fall. Bummer.
