I haven't been here for awhile. My sister passed away June 7th. It has been really stressful but I haven't wanted a cigarette. I am thankful for that. I am thankful for this forum and the help everyone gives. I know in my heart I will never smoke again now. I survived the death of a loved one without smoking so I can survive anything. I will always be diligent and mindful and continue to come here and read though, I take nothing for granted. Thanks everyone for getting me where I am today.

Sorry for your loss Toni, sending love.

Guarding the quit and keeping it seperate from life's events is a sure sign you understand and can be free now.

I am very sorry to read this Toni, I can only imagin what you are going through at the momemt.

But it is great to see that you remained smoke-free through it all - what a great accomplishment and I'm sure your sister would be very proud of you.

Take care and speak soon.

Toni. So sorry for the loss of your sister. :(

Very happy to read that you have protected your quit. You are right. You faced an extremely painful situation without smoking. You can get through anything smoke free.

Well done. Hugs and positive thoughts.

My sis and I are so close; I can't even imagine. I am so sorry.

Maintaining your quit through something like that is probably

the worst challenge you'll face in your quit. Brava!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
