Thank you, QT peeps. You are awesome, and I have learned so much from you all. Tonight I just feel so grateful and happy to be a non smoker. I must have tried a dozen times to quit over the past few years, and could never get beyond day 3. And here I am, at day 103. Sometimes I think about this. I remember how I would always relapse on day 4. I remember that feeling of hopelessness. Going back to smoking never felt like a happy event. The first things I found on this site were hope, and community.

Then I found education.

Before I go to sleep I like to just breathe deeply, and have that be a prayer. The word spiritual comes from the Latin word for breath. I will breathe a prayer of thanks to all of you, all over the world, who have quit smoking, and who support others in this miracle of not smoking.

Thank you, lovelies!

You know, education is a big key to this whole thing but as I get longer into my quit, pledging each day really, really keeps my head in the right place.  For some people it's not needed for those like me, I like the idea of taking the NOPE pledge each day because for me, it does something.

Now, having said that, I need to take today's pledge as I've been slacking and slackers can get complacent and sometimes find themselves in trouble.  :)

OMG! CPK....sometimes there are people you just have to ignore. Such a shame they drive people off this site. You're doing great. Don't let this kind of negative feedback or condescending "advice" discourage you. The objective here is success in quitting smoking & guarding a Quit. We know who help us & who do not at this stage.

OMG! Tyme2b

There has only ever been support here for cpk... go through all my past posts to cpk... don't jump the gun

The same goes for bakon... don't know bacon but only seen support

Thanks nancy... hugs

Thanks, Nancy, now I understand. Still thanking all because support is an important component to a successful quit. As well, shared education and experience.

Nancy....your posts have always been supportive. You are a wonderful advocate for Newbies & anyone "wobbling". And so are most other QT support people. I did not mention even one name or one quote???

Goodbye & good luck to All. We are Winners....only WE can keep it that way.

Passive aggressive much  ;)

I believe the point was, that you did not need to thank us, because you did all the work.

No one was doing what Tyme claims

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
