Work today....nothing planned for tonight

5k in the morning

Babysit my granddaughter tomorrow night (best way to spend a Saturday night. :). )

Sunday no plans in particular. Somewhere in the vacant spots I'll toss in laundry, cleaning, and shopping. Supposed to be beautiful up here in the Northeast. High 70s and sunny.

What are your plans?

Friday evening here - watching footy ( Aussie rules so pretty sure I am the only one doing that !) with a glass of wine. The rest of the weekend is a bit of wait and see ...farmers market, hike, gym - only thing I am pretty sure about is that there will be some wine ! :-)

I got a peel this afternoon, can't wear makeup til tomorrow so I will be working out at home tonight.

On the plus side, the nurse who did it (not joking it was a nurse) said, "at least you are coming in early, so that when you hit 35 you will already have your skin care under control."

Cough.  It's been a long time since I saw 35 in the rear view mirror.

Major remodeling project begins this weekend...brace yourselves...I will probably be bitching about this for months to come.  Please keep reminding me how great it is going to be when finished.  My husband and his brother (who is a general contractor) plan to do most of the work, themselves...so that is why it will take so long.

Tonight, though, wine and food with friends, and then we will take a break tomorrow to meet friends for dinner and watch the Kentucky Derby!

This Friday, Tracey and I are going camping in the backyard to see how Buddy will do.

Going to set up the tent with sleeping bags, Coleman lantern, cook some steaks on our new outdoor wood/charcoal grill and have some beverages.

Just a practice as we want to go canoeing and camping this summer but do not know what it will be like with Buddy.

Will he keep us up all night howling at the moon or jumping around the tent trying to get out lol.

I'm sure most dogs are fine camping, but there are probably variations.

We went camping last summer at a campground which required dogs to be leashed at all times.  My brother's family brought their dog too.  We shared a site.  Our dog was a bit new to us - we had him about a year, and we had never taken him camping.  It did not go well at all!  He hated being on the leash, wasn't sure about the other dog or the other people.  He slept (more like stayed awake) in our tent with us, but got really cold and wouldn't lay under any blankets.  He wouldn't eat.  He was tired, cold, hungry and grouchy!!!

It's great that your are doing a test run.  Maybe try keeping him leashed during your trial run if the place you are going requires it.  And maybe introduce him to any other dogs and people that you may be camping with.  And maybe get a dog sweater for him if it might be cold at night - early morning.

Or maybe he will be just fine, cuz he is still a happy fun little puppy. :)

I LOVE egg casseroles.  Eggs, hash browns, cheese (I like to mix jalepeno jack & sharp cheddar), bacon (or sausage or ham), green chilis.  YUMMY!!!

I put hash browns, cheese, bacon & Green chilis in a bowl and mix it together, then put it in a baking dish.  Then beat 8-12 eggs with like a half cup or so of cream.  Pour over & Bake.

Maybe not the healthiest with the cheese & potatoes & bacon, but so good!!!  I made this for one of our volleyball tournament days.  It was devoured.  Kids & parents alike loved it.  :)

Check Pinterest. That's where I found the recipe. It didn't have green chilis, but you can add ingredients that you like. :)

Be sure to buy a doggie life vest for the canoe ride!!!  I'm not joking.  We took our dog on long canoe trips all the time and she did great once she figured out the rules.  But that life vest earned it's money more than once.

My weekend plans - cook, clean, shop, etc. and phone calls to solidify vacation plans with friends who are coming up this summer.

There was a cow blocking traffic on my way to work this morning...not a typical thing you see on a highway here in New Jersey...needless to say I was late for work and it was on the news and everything.  Glad it wasn't an accident but I was sitting there not moving for 30 min then all of a sudden I see the cops coming in my direction weaving thru traffic....and they were escorting the cow...who was coming right towards me....what a sight to see.  I thought it was a bull.  LOL

anyway....I was wondering if we could have a chat party tonight
