Does anyone have any tips for sugar cravings. I am a very health conscious person , but lately I am having intense sweet cravings . Does anyone know how to curb a sweet tooth .

For folks with arthritis .Did you know that  sugar will trigger arthritic flares ? I am suffering at the moment w pain / alleviated with celebrex ..

Pizza is also a no no for arthritis ..  I react every single time

Quit weight is still not gone . Has anyone else had problems with metabolism sinse they quit. Finding this very frustrating ......

I am finding smoking may have masked so many things that should may have been looked after . Glad I quit sooner than later .

Sorry it's rough going.  The only way I know how to beat sugar cravings is to not give into it at all and eventually it will subside.  Sometimes I ease into it with some fruits but I won't have bananas, oranges, pineapple, grapes, etc...those high sugar fruits.  And do drink lots of water.

What you said about smoking masking things is pretty scary.  I think it may be true for may of us.

ETA doing low carb or Paleo eating will nip it in the bud in a hurry.  And most people don't crave it at all.

I used to eat a lot of veggies in between and 2 pieces of fruit a day if you keep a pattern you'll loose weight and the cravings go away

Honey is my main sugar substitute, try and buy the best you can afford Manuka 15+

I also eat whole fruits not just the juice

I did a total sugar detox before I quit for 6 weeks, I'm not so strict now just everything in moderation

Thanks everyone . I cannot understand all of a sudden these cravings...They are intense ...and weird because I am not into nor ever have been into sweets . I think I am going to try and do this the same way as quitting smoking . Drink , delay distract , discuss , and the ?

My metabolism  is like a snail ....

I may have to medically check on this .

Thanks .  They say excersise should speed your metabolism , but man I walk every day and go to the gym and not lost a pound . Don't worry quitters .. I think its just something with me ... keep quitting ....its so worth it . Almost everyone loses the weight or keeps a healthier weight after .
