Signed up with this group today.  Put out my last cigarette just now.  Decided to find a forum and work out the kinks that are sure to show up.  I haven't read the other posts but I will as I'm going to need to make friends and encourage others as well.  Not going to posts a biography here,  just mentioning that I am one sick individual caught up in a sick behavior.  I'm sick because of a bad choice,  and a bad choice made 40 times a day.  Thanks in advance for your consideration,  and thank you for hosting this site.

Delighted to see you here with such a great choice. Quite probably the best choice to make is to do something good and healthful for ourselves.

Be gentle with yourself, post often (I for one love to share the journey) and get some plans in place for triggers.

Welcome!

If for some reason you started smoking again, no shame in coming back.  The majority of us have relapsed so it's nothing new but you need to learn about this addiction and stay active to beat it.  At least it makes it much easier.  :)

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
