Thanks everyone. Yeah, its had the tough moments alright! Think the hardest part of it so far is handling certain situations that would normally be dealt with a smoke - but I'm working around that and have passed through some tricky spots. I have a lot more energy (physical and mentally) which I'm channeling through running and also writing a book - onwards to 2 months!

The board has been key, it's great to see people who are just ahead of you in quit time, seeing they are doing it really drives you on  ^_^

Congrats Karl..job well done. I Never thought I'd get to the point that I could feel let alone say..but, it does get easier. Make up your mind that NO SITUATION will ever make you smoke..only you control that. Believe me. Don't let anyone or anything give you an excuse. I made it through a car accident with a death and with the help of QT family did not smoke. There are days yet where my mind hears the junkie thoughts but I keep pushing them away..you can to Guard the Quit Karl and ask for help when you need to..

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
