I'm pretty happy/amazed/proud that I can quaff on a bottle of red wine without wanting to smoke.

The two would normally go hand in hand. A small thing, but a big thing for me!  B)

excellent!!  I had to avoid alcohol the first few weeks because every quit in the past --I ruined while under the influence.

Great job!

Good for you!!  That was a step I put off for a long time.  I'm not a big drinker anyway, but when I do, red wine is my choice....and it doesn't take much to "lower my resolve".

One more win for you!

Also, if you have one too many, the next morning you don't feel as bad from smoking too many. I used to wake up hung over, stinky with a sore throat from chain smoking

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
