great post Markus

I dedicate my quit to my dad...who died from lung cancer in 2004.  I promised him as he struggled that I would quit smoking.

I finally quit in 2012--I know I know....finally, right??  But....I'm never going back...ever!

Great post indeed - inspiration is what moves mountains and drives people to forge forward in all aspects of life. I am more fortunate as my dedication is to my children who are still with me.  I watched my parents smoke my entire childhood (the have both recently become non-smokers - Dad 4 + years ago and Mom about 2 years now) And I promised my children they would not have to live as I did with a parent that smoked. They love the fact that I am a non-smoker and I feel like an even better role model to them now.

I dedicate my quit to my grown up children....

I promised them I would fight and quit .....seeing my 42 year old daughter cry and beg....will stay with me forever....

I'm doing my very best sweetheart to keep that promise....

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
