I haven't been on long today, but I was keeping an eye out for an Amy and IamDoingit check in.  I may just not have found it yet.

Thinking of you guys,  We have all been there!

Doing ok?

Glad to hear it Amy :)

It's not a cakewalk right off the bat for all of us by any means, but it's certainly not the big baddie we all had been conditioned to believe.

If you haven't read Allen Carr, his book/audible was sooo comforting to me at first.  I had the Easy Way on audible and Easy Way for women on kindle.  (My hb read the easy way for women, haha.  But he still took a lot from it, I've seen this man read like 5 books in the last 14 years and this was one of them.)

Whenever I had nagging feeling I was missing something, I'd pick it up and start reading, or turn on the audible.

Didn't matter where I was in it, it calmed me down.

Amy your doing an amazing job, keep it up hun!!  It can be hard in the beginning but soon you will be looking back thinking that quitting was not as crazy as nicotine would have you believe.  One day at a time and deep breaths when you need them, this too shall pass.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
