I was invited to one of these parties next weekend from a woman I go to one of my gyms with.  I'm just now looking at the prices online and I am having quite an OMG moment.

I love Arbonne, but it's been a while since I've used any of the products.  They used to have a facial cleanser that I loved.  It is expensive which is why I have not bought it for a long time.  lol

I went to one, bought all the stuff, used it religiously and meh, the products were ok on my face but nothing wow'd me.  I guess it was more about not putting chemicals and wax on my face that had me thinking it was ok.  I stopped using it once my products ran out.  Mind you, I am not a fussy one...if it works and feels good then I'm in but I'm not dedicated like some ladies.

I just looked at the prices and my eyes about popped out of my head.

My dermatologist always says nuetragena is as good as a anything else out there.

I use aveeno lately. But I use a really high sunblock instead of a moisturizer. Then a primer. Anyway.

So, I feel a little bad b/c she only has one other person going, I am going anyway.

For the record I have super sensitive skin.  I use Dove white bar soap on my face.  I then use either Youth Code or Lumene Calming creme.  I use Physicians Formula CC cream also.

So, I went to the party.  I'm not sure if my face is red from the products or the wine.  I ordered a month supply of the protein shake mix because I felt like I had to buy something.

So, I feel really bad, but I really dislike all that in-home stuff.  It all started with Tupperware and Avon, right?  Now, it's Mary Kay, Arbonne, 31 Gifts, Scentsy, the other candle one, Siplada Jewelry, Lia Sophia jewlery, Pampered Chef (not to mention Slumber Parties and similar).  I even went to one that sold like sheets and towels.  No matter what the hostess says, we all feel pressured to buy.  Then add shipping and tax........

I love getting together with friends, but those parties are  expensive, and I always feel ripped off.   I hosted a Tupperware party once and another dish/cooking one.  I didn't like hosting at all. I'd rather do a cooking/dinner club.  Then we eat, drink and be merry and no one needs to worry about having to buy anything. :)  Or game night.  Bunco or LCR.  I miss that about living in a neighborhood.
