You can beat a crave back just by having snacks on hand.    Nuts, seeds, grapes (frozen in summer) sugar free candy.  All of it can provide the distraction needed to get through a tough moment.  Give it a try!  But focus on healthy snacks to go along with the new healthier you and to keep weight gain to a minimum.

Make this the year about you by getting healthy and happy!

I ate my share on sugar free lemon drops and caramels in the beginning. I had put away all of my ash trays so I kept a big bowl of candy on my coffee table. Even today I keep gum in my car. The car still to this day is the place I thinkg about smoking so I eat gum.

Now you tell me. I've been snacking on ice cream and cookies for the past year. Maybe not healthy, but it sure is good  :P

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
