30 day Babs Abs Challenge!

Recommended Posts

I am afraid I am bailing on this as my but hurts and I get bored with situps and crunches to be honest, I gave it a go, gonna go back to my squats and variations of squats although I need to do more push ups maybe next challenge should be squat related and possibly push up related. :)

you still did great Lisa...you hung in there.  As long as we keep doing something...keep moving.

I can't quit now only 1 day to go...but it will be a long time before another ab challenge...

I'm down with push up challenge for sure!  I'm a hell of a lot stronger than i used to be but I still suck at pushups and would like to be able to do 10 regular ones at least...right now I struggle with 3 and do the rest on my knees.  Have a pinched nerve in my neck that has really weakened the strength in my arms.

day 28 half way done....i ran out of time and will finish the second half tonight

Inspired by this challenge, I started my exercise program a couple of days ago, as well. I lay on my back, raise my legs, and bicycle. 50 times. Rest. Raise legs, bicycle, another 50 times. Done.

Then I read this entire thread, and now I'm completely exhausted and sore. I'm going to bed. 442101-Royalty-Free-RF-Clip-Art-IllustraThat said, I kudos to all of you who have the will and the strength to do this!

Feels funny first day off the challenge. Lol.

Makes my regular workout seem easy peasy.

Today I increased my "workout". Went from two sets of 50 bicycles to 100/50, then did some arm exercises and stretches. Actually felt good. :)

That's excellent momma! It does feel good, doesn't it? There is always an exercise to be found that works for you. No matter what physical limitations or age. Age is just a number and a story we tell ourselves which unfortunately limits us to believing we can't do something cause we are too old. I say BS!

Good job!!

Hoping for squats too Lisa :)

I ALMOST feel like I'm doing sit ups... because when I'm pedaling away with my legs up, my stomach muscles are screaming... LOLOLOL

How old would you be if you didn't know how old you were?  -- Satchel paige

The reality is that our bodies need more exercise as we age. Sadly most folks do the exact opposite if they ever exercised at all. :(

totally agree Robert!!!   I have arthritis and since i've been working out every day...I hardly have any pain.  If I skip a workout...or sit for too long..I get so stiff.  Gotta keep moving.

K the skin grew back completely so I started again today. Started on day 11 since I've missed several days.

Depending on if the hotel has equipment, I may be out of it again til Friday when I get home. No blamed way am I doing it again on carpet and going through that again.

Day 23 done, rest day today woo hoo

On a plus side, these sit ups although caused some slight back strain, I think it was actually strengthening my back I was at work all last week and normally come home with chronic back strain, but yesterday nothing, first time in a year and a Half

Happy days :)

That's awesome, Tracey! I think the stronger your core is, the less problems you'll have with your back. :)

I'm still hanging in there, too. Haven't missed a day, I almost WANT it. I know I don't do much compared to you ladies, but for me, it's pretty big. First of all I get terribly bored with exercising, and secondly I've got a lot of health problems, most of all in my arms and legs. Swollen, painful lumps in all my joints, and a really messed up foot that won't allow me to do much of anything.... a few months ago I could barely walk, so I consider myself lucky that I get around at all. Hence the very slight approach to exercising....
