Looks like the type of guy who would hit on me, hehe. I always attract the freaky guys.

I feel ya. The men that hit on me either have no teeth or no job. Usually they are lacking both. :(

Ok that poses a hypothetical, the 'guy' can be switched to 'girl' if any males want to answer:

So would you rather date a guy that's dead broke with no employment options in sight, but decent teeth and hygiene...or someone who's gainfully employed but missing several teeth in front, due to an aversion to flossing and dentists?

Yup, that's exactly what happens to me too. I'm unemployed, so I can't really talk, but I'm not looking to date anyone since I'm already in a relationship, lol.

Tonight I'm headed to my best friends house. She's gonna make me a nice salad and dirty martini as we discuss our Florida trip. Oh we are sooooo gonna have fun on this trip.

Eat. Drink. Eat. Beach. Eat. Run. Drink. Eat. Beach. Had to throw some running in there. ;)

If you get the running in that will be impressive Babs..

And even though you are speaking hypothetical on the reverse Ava I would have to say at least for me

that money is not a deciding factor when considering dating again (although I am not attracted to lazy people either- ambition is important)

If you are attracted to someone with or without money who cares - don't forget a few trips to the dentist can really make a difference in someone you do like - how many long term smokers have great teeth after they quit -very few!  some are lucky but many get treatments up to and including veneers etc.. but bad hygiene no way - that is a deal breaker and so is a slob.

I have horrible teeth use to blame it on other things but realistically they were the cause of too much pepsi drinking along with smoking. I have a upper and lower partial have had it for 10 years now prior to that I could not afford to replace the teeth I lost so I went without which was very embarrassing and lowered my self-esteem tremendously when I was finally able to get new teeth through an awesome dentist, I felt so much better I think it gave me the confidence to do something more with my life and in turn went back to school to become a nurse. I will never judge someone who is missing teeth without knowing the full story because I went through it and It wasn't due to drugs or bad hygiene or laziness, it was due to smoking, bad diet choices and the lack of funds to repair them.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
