Day 16

Tyme2B

Recommended Posts

Going into my third week of no smoking! There are times I "think" I need a smoke but I don't. I am proud I am not smoking! I sure can see where "just one" is NOT an option....at all.....how to ruin a good thing. As one person on the Forum said....cigarettes don't come as one...they come as a pack. Still chewing my gum. Sometimes now just regular gum works. Thanks to Everyone on this awesome site for helping me to stay strong. I am SO glad I joined this group. You ALL understand and provide added strength & motivation :)

Hi Tyme. Glad to hear from you and see that you're doing so well.

Quite right to feel proud as well - it's not often we make such a positive and life changing decision. You're doing great.

Are you beginning to feel any health benefits as well yet?

Hi Rob. I'm still battling some insomnia since quitting but on the positive side I definitely have less of a cough in the mornings & actually feel more energetic despite the insomnia. I think the insomnia is gradually getting better though. You are so right...it IS a life changing decision! A good one. Thanks for the support :)

Each week it gets better. Look how better you feel now . Also I know you feel proud how you were able to quit and are now a nonsmoker. ...i love to sleep too. After awhile you go back to your normal relaxed state and sleep patterns. I used to cough at night while sleeping. Now i don't. :)!

Tyme2Be...You have made it though Hell Week and Heck Week..This week is dubbed WTF week.  If you got through the past two weeks, then you are golden :)  Just stay strong and pledge NOPE every day.  It gets better and that's a promise :)

You have the right idea and positive outlook! Goodness knows I'm a grouchy B a lot of the time, and sometimes even more so when I first quit, but there was a certain freedom with knowing that all I had to do for a while was just not smoke. No other self expectations.

You are doing great!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
