Twitchy smokers..

My smoking friend called in today for a chat and a cuppa...

After a while I could see her starting to twitch and get restless....

I just knew what was coming...I could see it....

Is it all right if I go down the garden to have a smoke....

She has to go as far away as possible due to oxygen here....

I sat...and watched her hug her arm around herself to keep warm...standing having a fix...

It was painful to watch.....and she didn't look like it was fun either....

I'm so glad I don't have to do that....she was a reminder ..of what a happy non smoker I am...

I know that twitch! I used to have that twitch and I see it in my husband and a few co-workers.

During the twitching episode..we never really are present, are we? All we would be thinking about is our next fix. So sad. I wish every smoker in the world really understood how awesome it is to be smoke free..AND realize how easy it is to attain.

I remember being like that, wondering when it was polite enough to excuse myself for a smoke, trying to eke it out that little bit longer, everyone watching me, thinking, god not another smoke, now i don't have that worry, I am going out with a friend tommorow for dinner and will be able to sit for the duration not having to wonder when I am able to get up smoke.  Put quite simply my lovely Doreen, I no longer twitch lol xx

Goodness but I do feel sorry for your friend. That's the truth, poor her in the freezing cold committing an action that will cause the same reaction in just 20 minutes. In that short span of time it will all start again, addiction fueled merry go round.

We all remember that feeling don't we and can easily see the twitch in smokers. Pleased you're free Doreen.

I must admit I have another way I get twitchy is when I find the conversation is a bit dull and I use to make an excuse to have a smoke and now that's gone. Does anybody else find this.  Or do I just have boring people around me haha
