Hoorah, I've now stopped for two weeks. The process is a lot easier now that it was in week one. I've found myself walking a lot each morning and evening, and it actually feels enjoyable. 

 

Have less of the constant cravings, have more of the good feeling of being a non-smoker. Still have the occasional 'ooh, one more pack of Marlboro Red and then we can start this again', but I know that's a lie, and can dismiss those thoughts now quickly and happily. And the Alen Carr audiobook is amazing. 

 

Listening to the 'lose weight by Alen Carr' audiobook now to counter any weight gain. Hope it's as good...

Good morn'n Rob, and huge congrats on your 2 weeks free!!  :D

 

Walking is great to help with the quit, good for you!!.. it clears out the toxins, helps heal the body, gives us something constructive to do besides sit on our butts and stick death in our mouth, how dumb was that :wacko22: ... I still walk, it's become one of my new nonsmoking habits..

 

Keep go'n the way you have been, and keep that wonderful positive attitude, yer doin' Great!! :yahoo:

2 whole free weeks and a positive take on it. So important I think to focus the mind on the good bits to offset any uneasy thoughts. I am reading nothing of rewards though Rob, have you not treated yourself to anything special to celebrate? You really should, you've earnt it :)

Thanks Marti - good point indeed! My flatmate has also stopped smoking (4 days ago) so we've arranged to reward ourselves by going for meal after work tomorrow :)

Fantastic start, however I think you could maybe start planning something for next weeks 3 week celebration. Maybe something you can see or smell to remind yourself how much better off you are financially? You are doing so great Rob, chuffed to bits for you! x

Fantastic success, Rob! You're through both hell week and heck week and you are starting to really feel the benefits of not smoking. Good for you. I"m especially impressed that you can hear Old Nicodemons seductions (like "just one more pack and then I'll quit") and recognize them for the lies they are. That's SO important!

 

You and your flatmate have a wonderful celebratory dinner-- it's important to give yourself credit for this achievement. Keep the quit, Baby!
